Online Discussion Forum

A Discussion Forum, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. They differ from chat rooms in that messages are at least temporarily archived. Also, depending on the access level of a user or the forum set-up, a posted message might need to be approved by a moderator before it becomes visible.
Forums have a specific set of jargon associated with them; e.g. a single conversation is called a "thread".
A discussion forum is hierarchical or tree-like in structure: a forum can contain a number of subforums, each of which may have several topics. Within a forum's topic, each new discussion started is called a thread, and can be replied to by as many people as so wish.
Depending on the forum's settings, users can be anonymous or have to register with the forum and then subsequently 'log in' in order to post messages.

'Let's Discuss' is a full fledged discussion forum, infact offering various functionalities that most of the present discussion forums may not provide. A guest user can view all the threads, the posts and their replies, but he is not authorized to start a thread, or post or reply on the existing thread. Let's Discuss boasts of a state of atr Registration functionality, which includes Captcha and verification emails, that ensure security and prevent fraudulent registrations. The login is also secure, as the password is stored as an MD5, and necessary precautions have been implemented to avoid SQL Injection.
A registered user can start a new thread, Post his queries, and reply to the existing ones. Also, he can rate a reply. Whenever a user posts on the forum, he recieves a mail about the post. Also, all subsequent replies to the post are also mailed to the owner of the thread.
Apart from this, a registered user can create a public profile for himself. This profile will also boast of the stats of the user. Also, one-to-one messaging functionality has been added, so that the a registered user can contact another registered user privately. All such conversation notifications are also mailed.
A registered user is greeted with the Notifications and Messages since his last visit to the forum.
This forum also boasts of a 'Shout Box', wherein all the users are involved in a public chat, and they can get their queries resolved instantaneously!
